Studying the link between number of children and happiness

As part of my curriculum in statistics and economics, I wrote a dissertation on the link between number of children and subjective happiness. Together with Pauline Culioli and Jérôme Pivard, we analysed data from a large European survey. It turns out that the happiest people are the ones with two children:

We didn’t know how to do a proper econometric analysis in 2019, so we can’t really draw conclusions from our dissertation. Please don’t choose how many children you want to have based on our results.
